Santa is in Search of Actors!
Come play one of his favorite holiday characters.
This year is the 3rd Annual Holiday Hullabaloo benefiting Dorothy’s House and you’re invited to help us celebrate by auditioning to become one of our cast members. Holiday Hullabaloo will be at 2100 NW 100th St., Clive, IA 50325 every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from November 29 through December 31. This year we expect more than 6,000 visitors daily. Planning is already underway to make this year bigger than last!

Cast members will be expected to be present during ½ or all of the expected Festival Hours and for special events, such as Breakfast with Santa. We are in search of several people to play each character and will be as flexible as we can with the scheduling.

Holiday Hullabaloo is looking for the following cast members:
Suzy Snowflake:
Female
Ages:17 -36
Suzy is a snowflake with a playful personality. She is childlike and celebrates the fun of winter. The Holiday Hullabaloo Suzy will need to be full of the winter spirit, happy, cheerful, and ready to twirl and dance as she greets our guests.

The Sugar Plum Fairy:
Female
Ages: 17-36
The Sugar Plum Fairy is a small and beautiful Fairy (sprite) of flora and fauna. She brings candy and sprinkles sugar (fairy dust) graciously over the kingdom of Holiday Hullabaloo. The Holiday Hullabaloo Sugar Plum Fairy will need to be oh-so-sweet, playful, and ready to spread Holiday Cheer.
Mrs. Claus:
Female
Ages: 30+
Mrs. Claus is the legendary wife of Santa Claus, the Christmas gift-bringer in Christmas tradition. She is known for making cookies with the elves, caring for the reindeer, and preparing toys with her husband. The Holiday Hullabaloo Mrs. Claus will need to be a grandmother figure, always joyful and ready to help our littlest of guests decorate her special Holiday Hullabaloo cookies.

Santa Claus:
Male
Ages: 30+
Santa Claus is said to live at the North Pole with his wife, where he spends the year making toys with the help of his elves. There he receives letters from children asking for Christmas gifts. On Christmas Eve he loads his sleigh with toys and flies around the world, drawn by eight reindeer, stopping at each child’s house; he slides down the chimney and leaves the gifts, refreshing himself with the milk and cookies left for him by the household’s children. ​The Holiday Hullabaloo Santa Claus will need to be the jolliest Santa in town, ready to listen to the wishes of our all special guests and pose for that traditional Holiday photo with Santa.

Jack Frost:
Male
Ages: 17-36
Jack Frost is a personification of frost, ice, snow, sleet, winter, and freezing cold. He is a variant of Old Man Winter who is held responsible for frosty weather, nipping the fingers and toes in such weather, and leaving fern-like patterns on cold windows in winter. The Holiday Hullabaloo Jack Frost is a sprite-like character, and a mischief-maker, ready to make our guests laugh, despite the cold.
